We are seeking a passionate ER Consultant to support the business and line managers by managing and resolving cases related to policies including absence, discipline, grievance and performance.

What will this role involve?
Providing advice in accordance with policy and employment legislation to drive improvement in employee effectiveness and performance.
Providing professional advice to line managers for all employee relations queries around policies including absence, discipline, grievance, capability and employment law.
Identifying, assessing, managing and resolving or escalating risks.
Developing and working with appropriate case management systems and measurement tools to improve efficient case management.
Working with other team members to share best practice and ensure cases are managed effectively with integrity and in compliance with policy and statutory requirements.
Managing and developing the skills and professional knowledge of line managers via individual coaching, support, and challenge.
What are we looking for?
Have you got in depth knowledge of employment law, tribunal process and ACAS? Do you have similar ER experience, working in an operational environment? If yes, apply now! We are seeking an engaging individual with demonstrable ER knowledge to support and work closely with the business, specifically with remote stakeholders. Practical application of employee performance policy in respect of absence, discipline, grievance, conduct and capability is a must. You will also have experience of coaching managers on difficult employee matters.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is based in central Reading with a salary of up to £40,000, depending on skills and experience.
