What is the purpose of the role?

The successful candidate will lead and manage the onboarding planning function in line with the ambition, vision and values of the wider Operational Insight and Analytics team. You will work alongside the Onboarding Project Team to successfully convert Local Authority Customers into Thames Water Customers.

What will this role involve?

The Onboarding Planner Manager responsibilities will adhere to;

Managing and supporting an onboarding forecasting team function that is aligned to industry best practice, ensuring that control awareness and reforecasting is applied throughout to ensure we are best aligned to deliver for our customers.

Own Onboarding Forecast delivery, challenging and supporting business activity to ensure customer is at the forefront of all decisions made.

Become part of the leadership team within insight and analytics taking the lead if required during unplanned events and incidents, making necessary decisions with clear instruction to minimise impact to our customers' experience.

Own and drive onboarding demand planning, establishing yourself as the SME for the Team and building and maintaining relationships with your Key Stakeholders across the business.

Develop and embed a BAU quality process to ensure team outputs are accurate, timely and in line with expected standards.

Demonstrate an "always on" approach to ensure you live and breathe Forecast Planning.

Demonstrate flexibility to the role to ensure you are available to support as and when required.

Advocate team working, ensuring relationships are built and maintained across the business, demonstrating pride in the brand and belief in a unified approach.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a significant amount of experience with relevant planning management experience, managing a team of forecast/planning analysts. You must have previous experience of working in large projects and key stakeholder management and strong numerical and analytical skills, able to turn numbers into actions. Excellent IT skills relevant industry specific tools with exceptional Excel skills and other Office systems. A high level of relationship management experience is key to this role. Proven Leadership and experience at senior level within a planning environment and customer focused, excellent communication skills, strong commercial Acumen skills, knowledge of Outsourcing as well as current future trends in use of technology, such as Anaplan are key skills we are looking for.

Thames Water information and salary details

This role is based in our offices in Swindon, Wiltshire. We are offering a salary of up £43,000 per annum depending on experience. There is a competitive salary package includes up to 28 days annual leave, generous pension scheme whereby the company will match twice of what you contribute up to 12% company contribution, life insurance of 8 x salary, annual pay review, season ticket loans and loyalty awards for continuous service and much more!
