What is the purpose of the role?
In this role, you will support the Head of Wastewater Infrastructure Strategy & Planning in the application, development and management of our wastewater network models. You will be responsible for managing a team of approximately twenty wastewater network modellers, structured under five team leaders. You will work with the wider SPI team and senior leadership team to help shape our wastewater modelling needs/capability.

What will this role involve?
Develop and maintain our wastewater modelling capabilities, helping the business to realise how these key tools can improve the way we deliver for our customers and the business.
Research, identify, analyse and present new approaches for wastewater modelling for the business.
Support the SPI (Strategy, Planning & Innovation) business unit to shape its own wastewater strategy in line with the overall corporate strategy.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible individual to deal with constantly changing demands within a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you will need a proven track record of network modelling and management of a team of modellers. Alongside this, you will have the confidence to proactively engage with our Senior Management and Executive Team. You will be a strong leader through the delivery of key projects and have the ability to maintain relationships at all levels. You will be required to demonstrate a strong engagement style and influencing skills with sound judgement. Through collaboratively working throughout the business you must be able to drive change.
Thames Water information and salary details
This exciting position is based in Reading, Berkshire. We are offering a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 depending on skills and experience. On top of our competitive salary package, you will also receive a competitive bonus, car allowance, private healthcare and an industry leading pension scheme. We also offer 2 paid volunteering days per year.
