What is the purpose of the role?
We are seeking a driven Analyst to form part of our Audit and Assurance team- a team who has a proven track record of developing staff and providing the tools required to grow within the wider business. You will be responsible for contributing to the implementation and maintenance of our risk and control framework covering all business and IT functions. We are increasingly engaged with the business and with business change teams in developing and documenting control and compliance frameworks for new processes and new/changing obligations.

What will this role involve?
Facilitate process workshops to capture and document processes, risks and key controls as set out in the transformation programme and in accordance with defined methodology.
Align risk registers to process controls, ensuring the status of 1st line control testing is maintained.
Present control status to department heads, pursuing gap remediation and enhancements to process to reduce overall risk.
Become proficient using ARIS and associated tools to model processes, and maintain capability models.
What are we looking for?
This role requires a self-starter with a proven strong analytical mind set and a good eye for detail but able to see the big picture to deliver against both strategic and tactical / operational objectives. You will have experience of process modelling using recognised tools and systems as well as confidence and creditability with the ability to effectively communicate information and knowledge assertively, whilst demonstrating empathy with colleagues' diverse challenges. To be successful you will be qualified or qualified-by-experience in either process modelling, Agile/ITIL/Prince project methodology or accounting. Experience in risk and control would be ideal but not essential.

This role is based in Reading, with a salary of up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience.
