The school provide education and support on a day basis to Key Stage 2-3 pupils with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Disorders (SEBD), helping them to manage their emotions prior to attending mainstream school. With this in mind, the pupils can at times display quite challenging behaviour towards themselves, other pupils and yourself as a staff member therefore, the role would require a Team Teach qualification so tahty you can respond to these issues in the same holistic way the school itself would.
Although sometimes challenging, the rewards that come from teaching pupils with SEBD will offer great job satisfaction and sense of achievement.
From their next Teacher, the learners are looking for a positive, encouraging, firm but fair role model who is also caring and can show empathy when needed.
To provide the pupils with the best level of education, you will have experience of teaching pupils with SEBD within a specialist setting. This is an essential requirement for this role along with a Team Teach qualification.
