What is the purpose of the role?
As the Self-Lay Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of self-lay accounts, operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your self-lay accounts. The role will require you to build and maintain strong customer relationships with key stakeholders within the self-lay organisations, managing queries relating to the end-to-end self-lay process and be accountable for achieving key service levels. As well as confidently communicating scope of work, you will promote opportunity for new work.

What will this role involve?
Serve as the lead point of contact for all self-lay account management matters.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of service levels.
Provide internal progress reports on a weekly/monthly and quarterly basis.
Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement.
Challenge customers, when necessary, with the ability to achieve a successful outcome for all parties.
Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced account manager that has relevant industry experience or an understanding of the water industry, including network knowledge in both clean and wastewater. You will be customer centric and possess strong commitment to customer service delivery. In order to be successful in this role, you must be resourceful, possess a 'can do' attitude, be optimistic and overall have exceptional people skills. With a previous background and successful track record/experience in account management, you will lead in a way that stands out across the business. You will need to be PC literate (MS Office) as well as having strong numerate and analytical skills. A full clean driving licence is essential for this role.
Thames Water information and salary details
This is role is based in Reading but with requirements for some travel to meet with self-lay customers. We are offering a salary between £35,000.00 - £40,000.00 dependant on skills and experience.
