What is the purpose of the role?
To take lead in delivering a range of technical services required through the engineering project lifecycle at Thames Gateway Water Treatment Works. The projects will be based on process optimisation, asset reliability and improvement. The individual successful in the role will be embedded into the site operation team, working alongside the site team optimising the process and technical support.
What makes this role unique?
The role will be working at Thames Gateway Water Treatment Works desalination plant in East London, an integral plant in building resilience to London's water supply. The processes on-site include but not exclusive; Clarification, Filtration, Reverse Osmosis, Hardening and Disinfection. The role will involve regular liaison with internal and external parties, including Thames Water's regulators.
What will this role involve?
Assessment of technical information and development of solutions, through the preparation of engineering deliverables such as reports, drawings, specifications and data sheets.
Management of the activities of multi-disciplinary project teams in accordance with project delivery procedures.
Management of the delivery of project outputs to time, cost and quality through planning and forecasting resource requirements.
Checking and review of team outputs.
Coaching and mentoring others to ensure continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking either a graduate with relevant work experience or ONC/HNC in a field related to a technical speciality or Engineering degree. Typically 5+ years' experience in water treatment is required. Previous experience with reverse osmosis would be advantageous but not essential. Good communication skills. Experience of leading project teams and accountability for project delivery. Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software. A full valid driving licence is needed for this role.

This role is based out of Thames Gateway Water treatment Works in East London. We are offering a salary of up to £60,720 depending on experience and qualifications.
