What is the purpose of the role?
We are currently seeking a true Business Partner to join the Property Sales and Property Services team. This client facing role works closely with the Head of Property, supporting the accounting. Working within a dynamic team environment, supporting a number of key stakeholders, the position will involve creating high quality monthly reports, analysis and commentary on performance to enable successful financial decision making; budgeting and forecasting; producing statutory report for 6 property entities; and supporting the finance manager on wider Group services performance reporting.

What will this role involve?
Providing accounting support and guidance to the Head of Property and Thames Water's. Producing of high quality monthly performance reports for Property Sales and Property Services for review by the Head of Property, Group CEO and CFO, enabling successful financial decision making. Quarterly forecast and annual budget - P&L and Balance Sheet. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings. Supporting production of 6 sets of statutory accounts and be the primary audit contact. Supporting the tax teams in declarations for corporation tax and VAT. Supporting the wider Group Services team with the accurate and timely submissions of all reporting. Supporting ad hoc projects for Property and wider Group Services.
What are we looking for?
Are you a qualified accountant? Do you have previous management accounting experience? If yes, apply now! We are looking for confident and self-motivated professional who is interested in driving performance and understanding the relationship between operational and financial performance. You will be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and resolution finding. And will be comfortable communicating with operational and financial colleagues, and the senior management team. The successful applicant be flexible and adaptive, and will have exceptional analytical skills, a desire to develop in line with the role and will be pro-active in implementing new ideas and challenges. Strong IS skills, including SAP and Excel will be strong advantage.

This role is based in our Reading head office, with a salary of up to £50k depending on skills and experience.
