The school provide education and support on a day basis to pupils aged 3 - 19 years who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and those with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who, at times, can present severe and challenging behaviour. Although sometimes challenging, the rewards that come from teaching pupils with such needs will offer great job satisfaction and sense of achievement.
The school currently have 260 pupils on roll who all have a Statement of Special Needs or are in the process of having their needs assessed.

To provide the pupils with the best level of education, you will have experience of working with pupils with SEN within a specialist setting. This is an essential requirement for this role. You must have QTS status, be registered with the EWC and possess an enhanced DBS on the update service. If you do not have an enhanced DBS on the update service, we can help you obtain this.
