About the role CIQHP
We're looking for experienced consultants to help lead our freight work within TRL's freight, mobility and logistics team. We're seeking dynamic individuals with a good grounding in freight logistics and a demonstrable understanding of how the freight industry is evolving through new technologies such as alternate fuels and telematics, to drive forward efficiencies and safety across the freight domain. Successful candidates will work with thought leaders across TRL to help us remain at the forefront of defining the freight and logistics solutions of tomorrow.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
As an integral part of our freight, mobility and logistics team you will be required to contribute and develop your knowledge of freight logistics to consultancy and research projects. This includes understanding the development of technologies that provide or have the potential to provide alternatives to diesel as the default fuel of choice and the application of telemetry as used in the freight sector to identify safety measures and promote efficiencies.
Your role will include responding to client briefs with appropriate research and consultancy solutions, providing innovations that solve our client's problems and further evidence-based scientific knowledge. You will engage with a variety of commercial freight operators by size and business sector, encouraging participation in dialog and activities such as workshops, focus groups and research studies, delivering findings in reports and presentations. You will likely be involved with TRL's Ecostars work, and flagship trials such as Platooning , as well as working with our sales & marketing team to help identify and deliver new opportunities.
You will also work with our Academy and sales & marketing teams to help shape our new mobility offer and represent TRL internally and externally in written output and at conferences.
Skills and Experience
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of, and interest in the technologies that are shaping the future of freight and mobility. While this role is focused on research and consultancy, experience in the application of technology to develop freight and mobility solutions would be an advantage. Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate experience / competency in the following areas:

A Degree (2:1 or above) in a related discipline.
Eligible candidates must be able to demonstrate fluency in both verbal and written English and polished presentation skills. You must have the ability and confidence to engage with TRL colleagues, customers, stakeholders and technology partners in a meaningful manner.
