Due to the expansion of the Adult Care Finance Team (ACFT), we are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to provide overall finance administration support for the residential adult care function and ensure that all applications/referrals are processed in accordance with the policies of Lincolnshire County Council and DOH regulations.

In addition, we have opportunities within our Financial Assessments Team too.

The team is busy, processing financial assessments for people entering care services for both residential/nursing and non-residential settings, and ensuring those care providers are paid correctly and in a timely manner.

You will provide an overall finance support/processing service to various clients in a flexible manner, ensuring that an effective, efficient and customer focussed service is delivered within required KPI, PI and activity timescales, work as part of a team using an adult care case management system for service users requiring Non-Residential, Residential and Nursing Care.

A key part of the role is to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively, deal with routine correspondence and telephone enquiries of a personal and confidential nature pertaining to service user's financial details and the payments to service providers.

You will deal with daily incoming and outgoing post for the residential and non-residential teams within agreed timescales and deadlines and work together with your colleagues in reviewing and updating procedures to improve quality and consistency. 

We may be able to offer an agile working option once you have passed probation. 

 

 

 

What you'll need to do the role

If you are passionate about a career in finance and have the ability to learn financial systems, this is the opportunity for you! We will give you the tools and teach you the skills you need to excel in the role.

Ideally you should have a minimum one-year experience of working in an administration environment, we'd like you to have experience of prioritising own work to achieve performance targets and deadlines and hold the ability to process data to deadlines whilst achieving a high level of accuracy.

Most importantly you will be a good communicator, have great customer care skills and are able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues at different levels and adapting your communication style as appropriate.
