£13,753 Per annum
HMP & YOI Doncaster is a Category B prison, it predominantly serves the courts of South and West Yorkshire and currently holds up to 1,145 male prisoners over the age of 18. We are located in the centre of Doncaster within walking distance of the railway station and bus station. As a resettlement prison we work with our prisoners, particularly those serving less than 12-months, to ensure that they have the support they need for resettlement as well as access to the services and support available to them after release. Most of our prisoners are released back into the Yorkshire and Humber area.
We have an opening for an Admin Support Officer to join our Offender Management Unit. This could be in one of three admin roles within the department, either general admin, case admin or public protection admin dependent on experience and business need.
The role of an Admin Support Officer (ASO) based within the Offender Management Unit (OMU) is to work as part of a team, this could be in a multitude of areas within the OMU function. This includes but is not limited to, allocating work to Prison/Probation Offender Managers and obtaining information to assist with and inform risk management, updating prison records and sentence calculations or working with the Public Protection Unit.

What you need to do the job:
This is an opportunity for an individual who has proven experience of working within a fast-paced office environment. The successful post holder must have the motivation, attention to detail and clear communication that is considered essential for this role.
Having previous experience of minute taking is desired but not essential. The successful candidate must be highly organised, have effective time management skills and excellent computer and typing skills inclusive of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. It is important that they understand Data Protection/GDPR.
