 About You

 

You exhibit the utmost trust, integrity and patience in all that you do. You have knowledge and experience in handling sensitive information and using a variety of computer software systems.

You are customer-focused with a keen eye for detail, empathy and interpersonal skills. You have strong written and oral communication skills.

 

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Privacy Manager, you will work as part of the Performance Team with particular focus on the filing and administration function. However, as an administration generalist, you will at times be required to work across other functions.

 

This role will primarily involve filing sensitive and confidential information and dealing with general telephone inquiries. You will also provide administrative support to requests for personal information under the Privacy Act 2020. As such, it is a vital role at Kohuora, which the right person can take real ownership of. If you are task-focussed and well-organised, you will thrive in this role. 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour to handle sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support and maintenance of manual and computerised information, preferably within a security setting.
  • Experience in performing a range of administrative functions, including managing correspondence and taking minutes.
  • Experience and confidence in interacting with all levels of management and officials.
  • Strong computer network skills (e.g. proficiency in Microsoft suite and computer software systems).
  • A commitment to trust, confidentiality and excellent customer service.
  • An understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to providing better outcomes for Māori.
  • The legal right to work in New Zealand (e.g. NZ or Australian citizen, NZ Residency or open work visa).
