About the role

 

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Administration Support Officer to provide effective administrative support to the Senior Management team based at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre in Northam. You will also provide admin support in the property operations and incident management functions. Perform and facilitate all administrative duties including but not limited to; filing, documentation, archiving of logs and registers, maintenance of databases, record keeping, retaining and managing all mail and deliveries.

This is a fulltime opportunity working Monday through Friday flexible roster between 7am - 5pm and reports to the General Manager.

 

About You

 

To be successful, you will be a highly organised and pro-active team player with experience working in a dynamic work environment for a large organisation. It is essential that you have good Microsoft Office package skills, particularly Word and Excel and accurate Data Entry Skills. You will have proven ability to manage competing priorities and adjust to changing work demands with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships on many levels. You're a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do and can manage confidential information. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
  • A demonstrated high level of communication skills both written & verbal
  • Ability to learn computer software, including SAP, SRM and CCW or similar
  • Understanding of basic financial principles
  • General administrative knowledge and skills including minute taking
  • Certificate III Administration or Business Studies desirable
  • Working with Children check
  • Stocktaking/warehousing experience

This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
