Job title: Purchasing Administrator

Salary: £21,500 plus Serco benefits
Working hours: Full time - 37.5hrs - Mon-Fri
Here at Serco, we work with the Home Office in the Asylum Accommodation Services contract to support individuals through the asylum application process. Here at AASC, we will ensure that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need and set clear requirements on the standard and maintain the condition of our accommodation.
The key purpose of this role is carrying out all purchasing activity to include Purchase Order, invoice and payment processing while identifying solutions to challenges in these activities to ensure all payments are processed efficiently and on time. A key part of this role is building effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external across the AASC contract to ensure the purchasing activity across the contract faces no barriers.
As a purchasing administrator, you will be maintaining data integrity of the IT Finance system while producing reports, briefings, and information updates to a high standard within a limited timeframe.

What you need to do the job
You will display a high level of attention to detail and have a positive approach to your work. Having experience in finance is desirable but is not essential as training will be provided. You will need to successfully engage and create successful working relationships with stakeholders and can demonstrate effective time management skills as well as deliver a variety of key timebound tasks whilst prioritising your own workload to meet specific timescales without prompt.
