The Job Opportunity
The ideal candidate will support the Airspace Management Department in the UAE airspace harmonization process at National level. You will act as AMC Support Officer for both Civil-Military stakeholders during coordination, negotiation, and airspace allocation activities.
Key accountabilities
- Conduct the dans AMC daily operations in accordance with FUA concept to ensure a more efficient and effective use of Dubai airspace for both civil and military users
- Prepare and release the Dubai airspace use plan (AUP) in accordance with the applicable ICAO standards, recommended practices, procedures, and guidance material
- Assist in establishing and maintaining quality control procedures including a regular review of information exchanged with civil and military authority to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Ensure that the preparation of timely and accurate AMC reports, as directed, are in place to meet regulatory authority and department requirements, policies, and standards.
- Assist in providing / drafting training guidelines for ASM and ANSP Training to ensure that all training activities are in line with the latest airspace management procedures.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices considering 'international best practice'.
What we are looking for in our candidates:
- Degree / diploma in a relevant field or relevant operational experience
- Should be fluent in spoken and written English and preferable in Arabic, computer literate, have excellent, strong communication and organisational skills
- Proficiency in use of relevant computer programs including, but not confined to, desktop publishing and MS Office as well as Auto CAD or similar software
Specific requirements
- Knowledge on ATS, airspace structure and ATM applications, in electronic operating environments
- Knowledge of ATC working practices
