Job Title: Apprentice Commis Chef

Location: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Near, Newport TF10 9AT.

Working Week: 39 hours per week, Monday - Sunday, shifts between 6am and 9pm.

Salary: £11,897 plus benefits

Apprenticeship Qualification: L2 Commis Chef

Expected Apprenticeship Duration: 12 -18 months

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, this is a full-time role, five days a week with some weekend working. As an apprentice, you will be working with our provider and onsite with Serco ensuring all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are adhered to while maintaining a detailed knowledge of menus. This is perfect for someone who looking for an exciting career in fine dining and catering.

Day to day you'll be involved in:

• Ensuring that dishes are prepped and cooked according to the restaurant standards.
• Adhering to the cleaning schedule and completion in delegated tasks
• Following company hygiene policies and procedures- e.g., temperatures are recorded, samples are taken, and food stuffs are stored safely and hygienically.
• Working weddings and functions, as required.

Preparing for your recruitment journey:
As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete assessments as part of your application. If you are successful, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview.

Our provider, will require you to take a skill scan and undertake initial assessments if you are selected for the apprenticeship.
