Salary: £25,000-£35,000 depending on experience
We provide leisure services on behalf of Community Leisure Trusts, Local Authorities, universities, and organisations such as Sport England. Our facilities include four of the National Sports Centres, outdoor activity venues, community leisure centres, gyms, swimming pools, white water courses, tennis courts, golf courses and conference centres.

Serco Leisure are now looking to recruit for an Aquatics Commercial Lead to work across Basingstoke Aquadrome and Tadley Health & Fitness Centre on a full-time basis.
This role has operational & commercial responsibility for all aquatics activity and revenue lines across the Basingstoke contract. This includes learn to swim (More Swimming Academy), school swimming, casual swimming & PAYG, swim club & external hire and ticketed events (such as inflatables) & overall pool programme. The successful candidate will drive the commercial growth and financial results of all aquatics activity above and will be measured on core KPIs (inclusive of income, profit, cost, participation, length of stay & retention).
You wil take responsibility for the Learn To Swim programme, maximising all commercial revenue through delivering key KPIs relating to income, cost, profit, head-count, utilization, length of stay, yield, retention, cancellations and net gain, take responsibility for achieving business plan financials & drive Basingstoke's contribution to Project #50000 by maximising all opportunities within Learn To Swim (inclusive of all stages) and achieving all other financial targets for aquatic income lines, maximise all income opportunities through aquatics revenue streams (inclusive of school swimming, casual swimming, external & swim club hire and other ticketed events), be commercially astute in understanding and analysing use of pool space, ensuring that the financial return meets our contractual and legacy requirements and ensure Serco Leisure have a positive impact in the communities we serve by delivering swimming for all under-represented groups (such as disability & low income) and increasing participation within all aquatics revenue lines.
You will also line manage swim teacher workforce (recruitment, rotas, performance, safeguarding, customer service, standards) of approximately 30, being a role model for demonstrating Serco Values, deliver quarterly aquatics workforce meetings, ensure aquatics workforce have relevant qualifications in line with NGB standards and that al aquatics staff attend and complete ongoing training (such as online and face to face CPDs), facilitate/host the delivery of aquatics qualifications when required and work closely and collaboratively with other teams on site and across the business to maximise all commercial opportunities and to drive best practise.
What You Need To Do The Job:
First and foremost, you shold be an experienced Aquatics Lead with Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher or STA Level 2 Award and Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
You should have high technical knowledge of aquatics with ability to carry out technical observations on swim teachers to National Governing Body standards and user experience of Cap2 and Legend.
Other qualifications include:
Swim England/STA Level 2 Baby & Pre-school teacher (desirable or working towards)
Our business operates 7 days a week from early to late. This role will consist of a varied working pattern. This will include unsociable hours and weekend work. No two weeks will be the same and it is expected that you work hours that best drive the commercial results of the overall contract as well as having a strong presence poolside during swimming lessons.
