About the role

A key leadership role, the Asset Manager is a fulltime position and is based at the Brisbane Immigration Transit Accommodation. You will manage a team of direct reports and numerous contracting companies. You will deliver Preventative (PM) and Reactive (RM) maintenance to a diverse range of assets. Responsible for operational effectiveness, you will lead the successful day-to-day operations aspects of the business at regional level to meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPI); Service standards and service delivery. 

About You

An influential leader, you will have experience managing large multi-disciplinary teams including contractors, delivering PM and RM maintenance to a diverse range of assets. You will be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of, and experience with the technical details of building fabric, structure and engineering services and an understanding of standards and practices is also required. You enjoy being stakeholder focussed, can think on your feet and show initiative. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates

 To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
  • Tertiary Qualifications or relevant experience in asset management, maintenance management, facilities management or business management
  • Trade Qualifications or relevant experience in Carpentry, Electrical or plumbing, and or other relevant trade associated disciplines
  • Significant experience in Asset Management and Facilities Maintenance environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the Facilities Management Ability and commitment to implement Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunities and Affirmative Action strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in business management across a diverse work force
  • Demonstrated    high    level    of    interpersonal    skills    and    proven    ability    to    effectively communicate (in both oral and in written form) with all levels of management, employees, customers, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge of and experience in the use of computer applications and systems MEX would be advantageous
  • Ability to motivate, lead, manage change and work in a multi discipline and multifunctional team
  • Demonstrated team building skills and experience and success with leading and managing a harmonious team, including understanding individual's strengths and weaknesses and coaching team members to realize their potential.
  • Ability to manage FM as a business utilizing contemporary practice, process and procedure and instilling this within your team.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, manage change and work in a multi discipline and multifunctional team
  • Demonstrated team building skills and experience and success with leading and managing a harmonious team, including understanding individual's strengths and weaknesses and coaching team members to realize their potential.
