Salary - £27,000-£36,000 dependent on experience

 

Here at Serco, we are looking for an Associate Data Privacy Advisor will support the Data Governance team with the improvement of and embedding procedures in line with the Data Protection Act 2018, Network and Information Systems (NIS) Regulations and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will support with the maintenance and updates to policy, procedures, templates and systems. As well as, working with the team and Data Protection Champions across the business to support in monitoring and administering of process and systems.

 

As part of this you'll:

  • Oversee the DPO and DPC Support mailboxes to monitor for support requests and data protection incident.
  • Oversee the management of ServiceNow (or similar tools) for Data Protection incidents and requests.
  • Support with triage of requests for guidance on data protection and privacy matters and review of data protection framework.
  • Support in creation of data protection training & awareness materials.
  • Support collaborating and preparing internal communications and updates for data protection programme.
  • Support with the maintenance data protection tools and templates, making relevant updates to rules and administration of polices.
  • Support maintenance of the enterprise data protection tool to ensure templates are updates, support end users and monitor compliance.
  • Support the timely updates to data protection impact assessments, provide regular updates to leadership across the business.
  • Support with data protection and privacy matters working alongside advisor to help in capturing reviews of processes.

 

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Computer/IT or Data subject or equivalent work experience, please do not be put off if you do not have a degree or your degree is not in this field .
  • Understanding of data protection tools and technology.
  • Understanding of the Data Protection, General Data Protection Regulations and information security management systems (although not necessarily an IT expert.
  • The role requires the individual to have had previous experience in a similar or related role.
  • Experience of working within the public sector desirable.
  • Experience using Onetrust or similar.
