Our client is looking to appoint experienced Electrical Design Engineers to join their team at various levels:

  • Associate Director (Mechanical)

The client is a relatively small (but expending) consultancy who specialise in MEP building services projects on Residential, Education, Commercial and Leisure projects across the UK but predominantly in the London area.

Job Specification for:
Associate Director (Mechanical)
The Associate Director (Mechanical) role will be to meet with clients and maintain the Company Client Relationships, manage and carry out detailed MEP and Energy designs for a variety of projects from small surveys, feasibilities / energy studies to large scale projects.
The role will be to oversee senior and junior staff, undertake engineering designs, assist the Director and Project Directors with project management and administration duties; assist with meeting the design team budgets and costs as well as meeting programme and client deadlines.

The role includes management of senior and intermediate level engineers, managing fees on all projects and ensuring the quality standards required of the Company are adhered to.


The role is suited to a candidate who is ambitious, self motivated, a team player and has worked in a smaller Consultancy where design and management of others are required The ideal candidate will be someone who can produce designs from initial design through to completion, including production of specifications, drawings, schedules and cost estimates using word and excel and also manage Clients and team members.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
General Description of Expected Roles


The Senior Mechanical Design Engineers role will be to carry out mechanical and public health design duties, oversee junior staff, provide project management and administration duties and to monitor design team costs taking into account the programme and budget provided for each of the projects.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will also be responsible for undertaking fee assessments and providing fee bids for projects as directed

  • Candidate must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • The Senior Mechanical Engineers role is summarised as follows :-
  • To implement company procedures policy.
  • To carry out Mechanical design and project management of various types of projects in accordance with the company aims and policies.
  • Carry out condition and feasibility surveys in various parts of England at times and produce reports.
  • To manage design team and provide Mechanical engineering support to all Electrical engineers.
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
  • Maintain and expand client base.
  • Carry out quality inspections of projects.
  • Use CAD / BIM systems in line with company procedures using Autocad 2019 and possibly Revit MEP 2019.
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects.
  • Work within and be responsible for Mechanical standards within the organisation.

Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer
General Description of Expected Roles
The Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineers role will be working with the M&E design team, providing support, and assisting the senior design engineers, in producing Mechanical Services Design throughout the full project lifecycle.
The Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer will be undertaking full Mechanical Systems Design and will be working on a variety of projects including Educational, Residential, Commercial and many more.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and traits;

  • Be able to communicate with both work colleagues and external clients
  • Have good personal appearance;
