Here at Serco, we are recruiting for an Audit & Training Coordinator to join the team at University Hospital Wishaw. University Hospital Wishaw has over 660 inpatient beds based on site, and numerous areas, wards and departments requiring monitoring.


The purpose of this role will be to provide support to the Customer Support Team in areas relevant to auditing and training. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the monitoring of all areas in accordance with the NHS Scotland Cleaning Specifications, ensuring systems are in place for auditing and all standards within the domestic and catering environment are monitored and maintained. The Audit & Training Coordinator will be responsible for the continuous development, planning and implementation of the training plans within the Customer Support Service.


The Audit & Training Coordinator will support the team ensuring they have the auditing materials and training to fully undertake their duties. They will have limited budgetary responsibility with limited authority for ordering consumables and machinery.


Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Follow the NHS Scotland National Monitoring Standard requirements.
  • Coordinate the monitoring of all areas within the hospital.
  • Prepare robust plans to deal with any required rectifications.
  • Support the Customer Support Team.
  • Coordinate training against an annual cycle of objectives recommending improvements in staff training.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of training records with support for administration.
  • Coordinate and monitor on the job training.
  • Develop and deliver effective customer support training.
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies on H&S, COSHH, HACCP, and other statutory legislation.


What you'll need to do the role:

  • Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 (ILM) or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Shows initiative and self-motivations.
  • Proven experience of preparing reports.
  • Strong awareness of Risk Assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety, and Fire Safety.
  • Good standard of education, particularly English and Maths.
  • PC literate.
