Billable Works Manager - RAF St Mawgan

Salary: Up to £42,000
Location: RNAS Culdrose, Cornwall (Occasional Travel Around Local Sites)

The Billable Works Manager will be responsible for overseeing the effective, compliant and timely delivery of Billable Works (under £25k) in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies.

This is a new role in a new business, formed to deliver infrastructure, asset, and facilities management services into the UK Defence Sector.  VIVO is a 50:50 Joint Venture between Serco and Engie.

Location will be RNAS Culdrose there will be requirements to travel within the SDA and in where necessary to undertake the Core contract Service manager role when absence dictates.

The aim is to grow the SDA from its initial base of £20M at the start of the contract to £40M within 5 years.  Therefore, the role will increase in scale and complexity as the business develops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of all Billable Works under £25K in accordance with statutory legislation and MoD Mandatory requirements, complying with all Health and Safety and Environmental standards and policies.
• Management of projects with nominated Supply Partners to ensure that all key performance indicators are consistently achieved within area of responsibility.
• Ensuring that all documentation relating to billable works is distributed in a timely manner and recorded within the CAFM system.
• Overseeing the Early Warning Notification and Risk Reduction Meeting process.
• Identifying opportunities on establishments to support the MoD's Net Zero carbon reduction targets within Billable Works initiatives to achieve them.
• Ensuring that all Billable Works are delivered safely and within agreed timelines and budget.
• Comply with the agreed system of reporting of the physical and financial progress of Billable Works, including planned milestone payments.
• Manage cost and stakeholder expectation through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure value for money.
• Work with all stakeholders to support the management and mitigation of contract risk.
• Overseeing the Early Warning Notification and Risk Reduction Meeting process.

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications

• ONC, or equivalent, level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience.  Continuing Professional Development
• Asbestos Awareness
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Legionella Control (L8)
• Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• SMSTS site management 5-day course desirable

Security clearance is required for our sites, successful applicants will be expected to achieve either BPSS or SC clearance as a condition of appointment into the role.
