Vivid Economics is a mission-driven, strategic economics consultancy that works with clients in both the public and private sectors to tackle some of the biggest sustainability issues facing our world today. Headquartered in London and with projects that spans the globe, we are renowned for 'putting economics to good use' to impact public policy and commercial decision-making. Our expertise and cutting-edge analytical tools are used across a wide variety of sectors, and we pride ourselves on the depth of our knowledge and the flexibility with which we approach change.
We are currently looking for a Project Manager to assist in the day-to-day management of the Biodiversity Risk and Impact Tool (BRIT) project. The role will cover a broad range of administrative, management and reporting tasks as well as some light content tasks, with support from the consulting staff. BRIT aims to become the leading product that global financial institutions, regulators and investors use to assess their impact and dependence on global biodiversity and nature. The tool will be marketed to financial institutions globally, including pension funds, asset managers, insurers and banks.
Vivid Economics is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes all applicants regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
Description of the role:
The Biodiversity Risk and Impact Toolkit aims to become the leading product that global financial institutions, regulators and investors use to assess their impact and dependence on global biodiversity and nature. With biodiversity protection rapidly becoming a global priority and increasing demand from investors for sustainable investments, a market is emerging for data and analytical tools to assess whether portfolios, individual assets (securities) and corporations meet sustainability goals set by investors and regulators. The tool will be marketed to financial institutions globally, including pension funds, asset managers, insurers and banks.
We have strong evidence of demand emerging over the next two years and scaling significantly. The tool builds on existing modelling and tool-building expertise Vivid Economics has developed to assess climate change risks and will integrate innovative industrial research from Neural Alpha and academic research from the Natural History Museum to adapt this to biodiversity, An already well-established network of clients means Vivid has capability to rapidly market the tool.
The Project Manager will work full-time assisting in the day-to-day management of the BRIT project. The role will cover a range of administrative tasks as well as some light content tasks with support from the consulting staff leading the project and the wider analytical team.
