Job Title: Budget Analyst

Manage the Financial planning of the program within delegated limits and developing, revising, and/or adapting accounting systems. Provides status reports on all accounting functions.
Execute day-to-day financial ledger keeping and related operations for the classification and other recording of financial transactions for the unit’s annual budget as well as potential additional end of year funds.
Review and analyze the results and interpreting the effects of transactions upon the financial resources of the organization.
Work with MAJCOM and budget office counterparts to obtain, monitor, and track organization’s funds
Develop integrated financial planning (Fin Plan) and reporting process that involves both long-range plans and the annual budget as a segment of those plans for budget execution.
Process purchase requests and other funding documents.
Validate funding for TDYs.
Review and approve travel authorization and voucher documents for assigned military personnel.
Attend Financial Working Group meetings, Financial Management Board meetings and weekly staff meetings. Through telecon with host squadron and with host base entities when required.
Process end of FY closeout actions.
Work with supervisors/managers and/or project managers in utilization of resources, resolving problems, and highlighting funding requirements to support the mission.
Compile findings and makes recommendations for development and implementation of procedures for financial management and budgeting functions in support of organizational programs/activities.
Serve as the functional point of contact for all day-to-day budget and financial issues.
Maintain accountability on student & instructor equipment, identify shortfalls and account for unit government purchase items.
Minimum experience of 5 years is required working with USAF budgeting terms, systems and procedures.
Have a working knowledge to use (unsupervised) AF specific financial management systems including ABSS, CRIS, RIMS, DEAMS, and WAWF.
Minimum of 5 years of experience using computer systems and operating systems including all MS Office applications.
Must be able to communicate through briefings, technical writing, conferences as well as electronic transmissions.
Military Experience preferred
Contract for 6 months - Converts to Direct Hire at 6 Months.
Pay increase at 6 months
