About the Role

The purpose of this role is to drive business analysis activities across the Projects and Digital variable works team within Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH). The Business Analyst will undertake activities to support the IT Project to correctly action, record and implement requirements and the associated documents required.  

The Business Analyst will be a flexible role that supports the business Projects in various tasks as and when required - primarily by providing valuable insights relating to data interpretation (both operational and contractual) and supporting project work that involves a reporting and analysis skillset.

 About You

As the Business Analyst you will have demonstrated experience undertaking requirements elicitation and documentation activities to ensure solution design and delivery is fit for purpose. You have a passion for working in a process analysis and process improvement capacity and in driving continuous improvement and innovation that contribute to the objectives of the organisation. You are able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal functions, clients and partners and lead by example

 

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience:

  • Analysing data from a range of systems to support the analysis of business problems.
  • Producing reports and visualisations to support the formulation of evidence-based solutions to business and Project problems.
  • Ensuring sharing of information across organisational boundaries and identification and resolution of common issues / create repeatable business practices.
  • Assisting in the gathering of information and evidence for compliance control testing and regulatory, internal and external audit data requests.
  • Utilising data analysis tools to identify trends in the performance levels of the FM Services and undertake root cause analysis of recurring failures
  • Analysing the business processes and gaining insights into how employees and systems interact to deliver on business objectives.


Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 certification
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant ICT subjects or industry certifications (highly desirable)
  • Proven experience in ICT service desk operations or Technical Support environment within ITIL framework,
  • A minimum of five years' experience working with ITIL framework and ITSM principles, procedures and policies
  • Good working knowledge of service delivery and project management best practices (e.g. ITIL, Agile and PRINCE2)
  • Capable of understanding a problem and analysing the root cause, in order to define the business benefit
  • Ability to convey technical problems in a meaningful way to business users using perspective-taking
