Here at Serco we're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the wider Reporting and Analytics team. 


You will work closely with the rest of the People Reporting and Analytics team to enable the most effective use of People data to drive business decision making, change and strategic planning.


As Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for developing the reporting requirements, and will provide technical expertise and hands on development of

People related reporting, dashboards and analytics, as well as conduct individual pieces of analysis to support the business.



As part of this you will: 

  • Support the People Reporting and Analytics Manager in the development and execution of the People Reporting & Analytics strategy. 
  • Work with Insight Partners and customers to translate business requirements into reporting/analytics solution design.
  • Support with the design, build and delivery of reporting and analytics solutions to better enable the HR community to gain visibility of key management information and insights.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of key issues related to the Serco workforce, including pay, attrition, engagement, absence, performance, and recruitment, to be shared with the senior leadership teams. 
  • Support the development of the SAP Business Warehouse environment, working closely with teams in ITS and third parties to identify and highlight data quality or integrity issues, and recommend new improvements to enhance reporting. 



What you'll need to do the role

  • Knowledge and experience of development within business intelligence platforms and tools.
  • Strong data visualisation and presentation skills.
  • Data manipulation skills, including ability to extract, transform, and analyse multiple large data sets.
  • Ability to problem solve, break down complex issues and develop solutions based on findings in the data. 
  • Not essential, but advantageous:
  • Experience of using SAP Business Warehouse, Business Objects, SAP Analytics Cloud and/or Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience of using SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, and ServiceNow. 
  • Competence in analytical programming languages such as Python or R
  • Good development lifecycle experience including requirements gathering, design, and documentation, and User Acceptance Testing.
