We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Business Support Officer in SCMT (Social Care Management Team) to cover maternity leave.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is at the centre of the work Peterborough City Council and their partners undertake with children and their families.

 

Reporting into the Team Manager you will be part of a team of administration support staff ensuring an efficient and effective administration service is provided to the Children's Social Care.

 

Training will be provided but it will be beneficial for the successful candidate to have previous experience in a similar environment.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Organisational skills
  • Working both individually and as part of a team in high detail to ensure total accuracy in a sensitive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills - you will be working with a wide and diverse range of people such a Senior Management, clients, and key contacts this will include support in resolving queries.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight timescales
  • Excellent listening and minute taking skills in a complicated and sensitive environment.
  • Adhoc administrative tasks including but not limited to document preparation, data collation, data entry, report collation, dissemination of information, typing, completing letter templates.
  • It would be beneficial to have some knowledge or experience of working within support services related to children and families.
