CAD Draughtsman / Technician

A Design Draughtsman /Technician will be responsible to produce 3D CAD Data and Engineering Drawings for components and assemblies using PTC CREO in accordance with applicable industry, customer and internal standards, and to release drawings, design data, and associated change notices through the TeamCentre PDM system.

As a Design Technician your main responsibilities will involve:

Creation and modification of 3D CAD Data and Engineering Drawings for components and assemblies.

Produce a 2D drawing from model, release in to a product structure and ensure approval of the product. Drawings may be for a variety of advanced products, i.e. helmet mounted displays, flight control sticks, flight control computers, and optical displays.

Working to configure parts lists and product structures and to release these through the Product Data Management system.

As a Design Technician your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Hold a HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Ability to apply engineering theory and practice to create drawings and design data.
• An appreciation of drawing standards and CAD is required.
