CAD Technician

Permanent role

Location: Onsite based: MOD Defence Stafford 

Salary: £30,000-£35,000

Vivo have a great opportunity for an experience Cad Technician to join the brilliant team based in MOD Stafford.

What you'll need to do the role:

The CAD Team are our custodians and guardians of drawings and record information across the estate.  They are responsible for ensuring that all records are kept up to date and issued and updated in accordance with strict security criteria.  The Team provide this key service for VIVO Staff our client colleagues within Defence Infrastructure Organisation and other accredited contract parties.  Th team provide an important function to enable Vivo to effectively manage the estate in a compliant and secure manner whilst ensuring that we achieve contract deliverables.

Main Accountabilities:

• Understand and exceed customer requirements, delivering a high-quality CAD service ensuring defined standards are met.
• Delivering high quality solutions.
• Promote and support an excellent safety culture within areas of responsibility, influence others and support changes in the safety culture.
• Contribute to innovation and change and share knowledge with CAD Team and Internal Design Team members and colleagues.
• Support the CAD Team and Internal Design Team towards achieving the VIVO strategies.
• Client engagement.

Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications

• Experience of AutoCAD
• Experience of working within a CAD Team or Design Team environment
• Experience of operating with a 'secure' environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts, deal with surprises and establish credibility with demanding partners.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Evidence of relevant and up to date CPD and AutoCAD functionality
• Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (Microsoft Office and AutoCAD)
• 3D modelling and REVIT, BIM experience desirable.
