The primary purpose of this position is to manage and deliver SME projects (transitions, mobilisations, CAPEX, OPEX, ad-hoc projects) in a structured manner and ensure the end to end project lifecycle is fully managed. The incumbent will have responsibility for oversight, monitoring, engagement, reporting and transition of capital works, from projects under the control of the Airport Authority to operational facilities under the control of the Service Providers team. The lead shall also represent the Airport Authority (Facility Management Division) to ensure safe, effective, and efficient transfer of capital facilities from Engineering to FM division to Service Providers, including handover processes, procedures, documents, training, and provision of critical parts.

Key accountabilities

  • Develops and implements a robust Transition Plan at the start of each transition adhering to Serco governance
  • Works closely with stakeholders to agree with the business requirements to develop effective working relationships and ongoing management processes
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path as well as overseeing the tracking of key milestones and deliverables
  • Manages the development and delivery of progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations within the agreed format and timeframe
  • Proactively manages changes in scope, identifies potential risks, and devise contingency plans
  • Designs, implements, and oversees the issues management approach and ensures risk management is controlled in line with Serco standards
  • Manage Transition, CAPEX, OPEX Coordinators and planning resources involved in programme delivery to ensure delivery against objectives.

 

What we are looking for in our candidates:

  • Ability to work to flexible hours, in a trusted environment and to demonstrate absolute discretion
  • Comfortable with high degree of uncertainty, flexibility to respond to issues, meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, respond and deliver in a time-sensitive environment
  • Advanced level user of MS Office tools, (especially Word, Excel, Visio).

 

Specific requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience, in delivering or administration of projects or programmes
  • Degree holder in Business Administration /Engineering preferably
  • Prince2 or PMP Qualifications
  • Prefer Airport (Terminal and Airside) Operations, Projects or facility management experience
  • Knowledge of quality management and control systems
  • Experience in liaising with key stakeholders and high-profile Clients within an organisation on matters pertaining to the functions covered by this position
  • Basic working knowledge of planning tools such as Excel / Project
  • Six Sigma certification is a preference (yellow belt/green belt/black belt).
