Casual Bar Staff (Zero hour contract)

 

International Fire Training Centre

 

Usual shifts:

Sunday: 17:15 to 23:15

Monday to Thursday: 18:45 to 23:34 ( usual 2 or 3 shifts )

Includes Bank Holidays as and when required

 

 

 

Main Duties

 

  • Check bar float and sign cash sheet to confirm float, highlighting any discrepancies
  • Replenish stock in cellar to ensure sufficient supplies for the night service, changing gas cylinders as and when required
  • Prepare bar for service
  • Dispense and serve drinks in line with all licensing laws in a safe, responsible and courteous manner
  • General deep cleaning duties during quieter periods
  • End of service cleaning and rotational stock replenishment
  • Cashing up of till
  • Beer line cleaning to be completed every week in line with Safe Systems of Work
  • Provide additional cover for annual leave and absences when required
  • Provide additional cover for events such as awards evening, BBQ
  • Complete all mandatory Computer Based Training in line with Serco procedures
  • Issue keys to students as and when required and be their point of contact during your working hours
  • Any other ad hoc duties

  • Work as part of a team and on your own initiative (Essential)
  • Previous bar experience (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and a clear understanding of the Sale of Alcohol Laws (Desirable)
