The Junior Category Manager will have overall responsibility for the procurement of goods and materials on our operational contracts and the procurement of indirect supplies or services (e.g. Office Stationary, Uniforms, IT, Fleet) across the business. The focus of the role will be to create and implement the supply chain strategy for these categories, offering best value solutions which meet the needs of our contracts and support departments.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, this role will see you develop the supply chain strategy for the procurement of goods and materials and indirect supplies and services, manage relationships with key suppliers within these categories, monitoring performance, compliance and KPIs where appropriate, and where required, source new suppliers, managing the end-to-end from sourcing to negotiation and implementation.
You will also ensure that VIVO Suppliers not only demonstrate value for money but are also able to meet operational outputs of the contract, delivering an excellent service to our client and customers, identify opportunities to drive improved efficiency, quality and innovation, interface with shareholders, Serco and Equans and their respective procurement teams to build positive working relationships and share best practice and work closely with the sustainability team to manage supply chain in line with sustainability strategy.
What You Need To Do The Job:
This role would suit a Junior Category Manager from a Hard FM background (please note, candidates without FM procurement or supply chain experience will not be considered), with demonstrable experience of managing supplier relationships, tender creation and document production, evaluating tender submissions and presenting outcomes and contract negotiation.
It is important that you have strong communication skills, have great attention to detail, excellent analytical skills and have the ability to extract, analyse and present data.
