Pay Rate £10.03 - £11.05 per hour




Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join the current team based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The catering function onsite is responsible for 850 beds in the ACUTE site plus 8 community sites with 24 wards.


The retail restaurant provides a range of various menu options available to both visitors and staff and operates the trading hours from 7am to 8pm 7 days a week.



Main accountabilities



As the Catering Assistant you will carry out all tasks in the Retail Restaurant to a high standard remaining professional at all times. This includes customer service, cash handling, food handling and serving of food produce, as well as merchandising and replenishment of products. You will also ensure compliance relating to food safety and health and safety is always met. 


What you'll need to do the role


You will need excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with both customers and colleagues. You will ideally have previous experience working within a healthcare environment. You will hold a basic food hygiene certificate, will be able to demonstrate experience handling food and have a passion for helping others!
