Serco provide a full range of both hard and soft facilities services across numerous NHS and PFI hospital contracts around the UK. The post-holder will report into the contract director Barts Health NHS Trust.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated interim Contract Dietitian to join Barts Health Contract to provide comprehensive dietetic support and guidance to our Health contracts for both patient dining and staff and visitor catering. For this role, you must have a broad range of clinical experience and significant experience within Healthcare Catering or Food Service.  


The key duties of this role include:

 

  • Using expert clinical and catering knowledge and extensive experience to lead on the development and strategic planning of catering services with the Subject Matter Experts in Patient Dining and Staff and Visitor Catering.
  • Provide specialist dietetic expertise and advice to ensure both legal and technical compliance.
  • Planning and delivering specialist training material to catering staff to help improve patient safety and experience.
  • Attending sampling days, site visits, preparing dietetic information and contributing to presentations.
  • Actively participate in monitoring the quality and standards of catering provided through data collection, audits and quality improvement activities.
  • Provide support and cover to our contract-based dietitians.

  • Your professional qualifications must include BSC/MSc in Nutrition & Dietetics or a post graduate qualification and must have a valid HCPC Registration. 
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD particularly in the field of clinical and catering nutrition alongside post registration experience of at least 5 years.
  • Advance verbal & written communication skills, effective time management skills and ability to influence at a strategic level. Additionally, problem solving skills with the ability to resolve conflict and handle difficult situations effectively is vital for the role.
