Salary: £20,270 - £21,318 (dependant on experience) + company benefits
Serco are recruiting for a Catering Picker & Packer to join their current team based at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. Working with the Catering team, the key purpose of the role is to ensure a high quality service is provided to the patients by Picking & Packing frozen meals onto dolly trollies. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of the patient meals for Lunch and Supper in accordance with the requirement provided.
Main Accountabilities:
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that patients meals have been correctly picked and packed, responsible for making sure all trollies are correctly packed, maintaining hygiene standards in the Picking & Packing Room and ensuring it is left stocked and all essential re-stocking is rotated in line with FIFO.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording Fridge and Freezer temperatures, maintain food safety and hygiene standards in your place of work and apply the food safety procedures applicable in your work area, load regeneration ovens as necessary and monitor and record food temperatures and demonstrate high standards of courteous interaction with patients and Trust staff to optimise patient food and beverage consumption
