An exciting opportunity has arisen as we're looking to recruit for CCTV Operator's to join our fun and vibrant team on a full-time basis, working 42.5 hours per week on a 5 on, 2 off shifts from Monday-Sunday 24/7 shifts patterns.
Serco's West London Alliance contract provide parking and traffic enforcement across London and work together and form partnerships to develop, drive and deliver improvements for everyone that lives, works, learns, visits, and invests in West London.
As a CCTV Operator, you will be working in a varied position. You will be working on tasks such as collating CCTV video evidence for various purposes, reviewing and assessing footage of recorded parking, bus lane and moving traffic contraventions and carry out the inputting and processing of data and images on the council's Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) processing system.
On a day to day basis, some of your responsibilities will include reviewing and assessing footage of potential parking and traffic contraventions against the council's contravention assessment criteria and make decisions whether to proceed with issuing Penalty Charge Notices, enforcing parking and traffic regulations by cameras under the various road traffic and traffic management legislations and carrying out daily equipment checks and test the functionality of the camera monitoring to name a few.
You will be making a big difference to the community and the benefits of your role will improve road safety and reduce accidents around schools, improve journey times for bus users, help bus passengers safely get on or off the bus, as well as a visible car crime deterrent and providing traffic management data.

About You
As the successful candidate you must be able to evidence proven and demonstrable experience of working within the parking sector, as well as hold a Security Industry Authority (SIA) CCTV licence and CCTV BTEC Level 2 or equivalent in traffic enforcement.
We are looking to hear from people who are passionate, enthusiastic and are committed to getting to going the extra mile when required. This is an interesting and exciting role as you will be given a lot of autonomy to make your own decisions and try to reduce parking contraventions to a minimum.
Any prospective candidates must be self-starters, able to work flexible hours on a 24 hour per day, 365 days per year shift pattern including weekend and bank holidays as required and are always able to maintain confidentiality.
Although not essential, having experience of using CCTV Enforcement Systems or previous relevant experience would be beneficial.
