We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Engineer to join our team based in Faslane. Our Chief Engineer will support the Tug Masters with all matters pertaining to engineering and electrical operation, maintenance and defect rectification providing maximum usage and time at operational readiness. This role will also support both the Tug master and Technical Department as required to maximise operational availability of the vessel. The Chief Engineer will also ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all propulsion, auxiliary and deck machinery, electrical appliances, air conditioning, domestic installations, fittings and structures within and out with the machinery spaces.
What you'll need to do the role
To be considered for this role, you'll have an understanding of planned maintenance systems such as AMOS. You'll have an in date ENG1 with a basic level management or leadership training or demonstratable experience. You'll have a proven history of operating as a singleton in charge.
You'll have a Ch. Eng minimum CoC 3000kw accompanied with a Marine Industry background. If you have previous or current security clearance in place this is desirable but not essential.
