Class 1 HGV Driver - Temp to Perm Opportunities

Blue Arrow is recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers on behalf of XPO Logistics for a number of 13-week temp-to-perm opportunities based in Leicester (LE4).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship logistics contract with one of the UK's leading supply chain providers. The Role

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for completing general haulage deliveries and collections throughout the UK, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and in line with transport legislation and company procedures.

Duties Include:

• General haulage deliveries and collections
• Nationwide trunking and distribution work
• Curtain-side trailer operation
• Accurate completion of driver paperwork
• Adhering to driver hours and working time regulations
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Conducting vehicle checks and reporting defects

Shift Patterns Available

Day Shifts

Monday to Friday

• Start times between 07:00 and 09:00

Early Morning Shifts

Tuesday to Saturday

• Start times between 00:01 and 04:00

Sunday to Thursday

• Start times between 00:01 and 04:00

Weekend Shifts Available

• Start times between 00:01 and 04:00

PM and Night Shifts

Monday to Friday

• Start times between 20:00 and 23:59

Tuesday to Saturday

• Start times between 20:00 and 23:59

Saturday Inclusive Rotas Available

• Start times between 20:00 and 23:59

Pay Rates (PAYE + Holiday accrual)

Monday to Friday

• £16.50 per hour (06:00 to 18:00)
• £17.50 per hour (18:00 to 06:00)

Saturday

• £18.00 per hour (06:00 to 18:00)
• £18.50 per hour (18:00 to 06:00)

Sunday

• £18.50 per hour (06:00 to 18:00)
• £19.50 per hour (18:00 to 06:00)

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this Class 1 Driver role, you must have:

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver hours legislation
• Professional and reliable approach to work
• Strong commitment to health and safety
