Contract Mobilisation Management Accountant
Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite at HMP Ashfield (Bristol)      
Full Time, 9 months Fixed Term

Salary - £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)  

 

Here at Serco, we are seeking a Management Accountant to provide dedicated, commercial, and financial support to mobilise, transition and transform our new HMP Ashfield contract within the J&I business unit. You will act as a trusted point of contact for our business leaders, helping transform financial and non-financial information into insight which influences decision making to improve financial performance of Serco services.

 
As part of this you'll:

 

  • Support the Finance Business Partner/Mobilisation Director on mobilisation activities by maintaining strong controls, visibility, and challenge on MTT spend vs the bid model.
  • Build relationships with workstream leads to effectively reforecast financials in line with operational developments.
  • Support in the build of the contract financial model, billing handover document, and billing model.
  • Support external customer progress checkpoint meetings.
  • Support customer negotiations on any potential contractual changes.
  • Assisting with subcontractor negotiations to ensure value for money contractual arrangements.
  • Coordinate the contracts use of the WBS's structure.
  • Support in reviewing the new contracts suite of KPI's and reviewing/testing the calculation methods/formulas.
  • Understand and application of new contract accounting.


What you'll need to do the role:

 

  • You will need to be qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
  • Evidence of ability to influence, negotiate, listen to and resolve conflicts with key decision makers.
  • Ability to highlight problems, offer innovative and practical solutions, and drive through their execution.
  • Translate business requirements into open, honest and transparent insight to solve business challenges.
  • Ability to interpret and deal with incomplete data; and the capability to exercise judgement where there is ambiguity.
  • Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
