About the Role

The key purpose of the Course Implementation Officer (CIO) Commanding Officers and Executive Officers Desig Course (CXDC) is to coordinate, schedule and implement CXDC on behalf of the RAN. Your responsibilities as CIO will include but not be limited to; administration and planning for the effective delivery of the CXDC course, coordinate and contribute to content review, development of improved training and stakeholder engagement.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and behaviour.
  • Hold or can obtain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
  • Demonstrated background working with Defence either in the industry or as a uniformed member, specifically working with senior officers.
  • Ability to produce high quality work within tight timeframes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure.
  • Must have good computer skills in Office tools.
  • Have a good understanding of and the ability to conduct data assessment and collection via business insight tools such as Power BI.
  • Possess the ability to build and maintain customer relationships so that Serco is regarded as a preferred supplier.
  • This position requires good organising and planning skills.
  • Must be tolerant of others, be sensitive to diversity and be able to work collaboratively.
  • Must have good interpersonal, networking and personnel management skills.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Be comfortable working with Naval Officers of the CMDR /LCDR rank.

 

Desirable

  • Experience in the operational use of Microsoft Project
  • Experience within Defence Industry, preferably as a Royal Australian Navy supplier.
  • Understanding of ADF contractual agreements and processes.
