CPC Holder and Transport Compliance Manager - Longc

Location: Longcliffe Derbyshire

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday day work.

Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per annum + Excellent benefits

 

Here at Serco, we are seeking a CPC Holder and Transport Compliance Manager to join the team and follow the vehicle maintenance requirements ensuring all vehicles and plant are serviced and maintained to the specification outlined under the manufacturer's guidelines and the Operator licence profile.

You will assist with the day-to-day management of the on-site maintenance workshop and where required, liaise with all third-party service providers to ensure all daily defects, breakdowns and punctures on our vehicles and plant are registered and dealt with within the relevant timeframe. 


As part of this you'll:

  • Ensure the contract meets all legislative obligations, undertakings and requirements outlined in the Operator license.  Which will also include the General Conditions covered under section 22 of the goods vehicle licensing of operators act 1995.
  • Highlight, record, and notify the Senior and Operating Centre Contract Managers, Fleet Capability and Strategy Lead of any failing to comply with the Company Policies and Directives relating to Road Transport and Dangerous Goods, including Animal by Products.
  • Monitor 3rd party service providers to ensure their compliance with the contract SLA and their legislative obligations.
  • Ensure the driver qualification central data base System covering, driver licences, driver tachograph cards, DCPC, vehicle categories individuals are authorised to drive, and any other associated driver training is accurate and updated at least weekly. 
  • Implement local procedures and controls to ensure that compliance requirements are adhered to in accordance with the Serco Management System.
  • Maintenance of the Environmental Services SMS for the contract including adherence with the Citizen Services Compliance Centre.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits ensuring high standards are achieved. To include: - Health and Safety (ISO 45001); Environmental (ISO 41001); Quality Management (ISO 9001); Risk Management; Customer Service Excellence; Data Protection; Serco Group Audit.


What you'll need to do the role:

  • Hold the National Certificate of Professional Competence in Large Goods Vehicles
  • Have a thorough understanding of UK and EU road transport legislation.
  • Experience in the role of Fleet Management
  • Ideally you will have experience within the Waste and Recycling Industry
