To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Deputy Contract Manager to join our friendly and successful team in the Basingstoke and Deane region.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, this role will see you provide proactive support to the Contract Manager in leading, managing and improving the performance of an outsourced, local authority and Trust contract portfolio including blue & white collar staff of approximately 100, within a demanding commercial environment.
In order to do this, you will implement and manage a robust health and safety culture in full compliance with corporate governance policies, procedures & systems and all relevant legislation, ensuring compilation of data and commitment to improving the safety and welfare of our people and environment we work in, whilst ensuring that we adhere to and improve upon Serco's community and environmental goals and aspirations.
You will also develop, agree and manage a robust stratgy and annual plan for the Contract to meet the contractual requirements and business targets, including growth aspirations and to be accountable for its delivery, conduct regular reviews of plans. monitoring and taking action to ensure business targets (including financial) are met, submit accurate and timely reports to the appropriate line management, implement rigorous processes for contract performance and measurement utilising and/or developing the appropriate suite of KPIs and using the data to drive decision making and contract improvements, and maximise opportunities for growth and efficiency of resource.
This role will also see you develop and maintain a network of relationships with the customer, potential customers, partners and stakeholders in order to anticipate and meet customer and stakeholder existing and future needs and lead customer service excellence and a continuous improvement culture so that the business remains at the leading edge of service delivery and value.
The Deputy Contract Manager will support 3 sites in the region and as such, you must hold a full UK driving licence. A company car will be provided.
What You Need To Do The Job
First and foremost, you should have strong leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management skills with appropriate Management qualifications.
You should have experience of managing a large, blue collar, service led team and be financially astute and commercially minded. It would be beneficial if you have experience of managing a Local Authority outsourced contract.
It is important that you have demonstrable experience in leading and improving service delivery operations and the use of process improvement of Operational Excellence (eg Lean/Six Sigma).
