About the Role

You will be responsible for assisting the Senior Pharmacist/Pharmacist with duties as required under their direct supervision. This may include customer service, general dispensary duties, co-ordinating distribution of stock, managing stock shelf life and disposing/returning expired items and assisting in stocktaking of medical and dental supplies in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Certificate Qualified non-pharmacist Dispensary Assistant/Technician (Dispensary Technicians Course Certificate, or equivalent).
  • 2 Years (full time) experience as a Dispensary Assistant/Technician within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients.

About Amberley Health Centre

Amberley Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Amberley - the largest Air Force Base in Australia - approximately 50 minutes from the city of Brisbane. The facility provides primary medical, dental, physiotherapy, psychology, and pharmaceutical services to over 5000 RAAF members and staff. The standard operating hours of the centre are 0730-1630 Mon-Thurs, and 0730-1430 Friday.
