Here at Serco, we are looking for Domestic Assistants to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital puts its patients at the heart of everything they do. The Hospital cares for the people of Norfolk, north Suffolk and further afield, providing almost one million out-patient appointments, day case procedures and in-patient admissions every year. The hospital has 1,200 beds and state-of-the art facilities and works closely with the University of East Anglia to train health professionals and have a strong focus on research.

Main Accountabilities 

As the Domestic Cleaner you will be responsible for keeping the hospital clean and safe from infection control. This is a fundamental role within the hospital, and you will be expected to clean departments and wards to hygiene standard, including cleaning floors, work surfaces, furnishings and related equipment manually and by use of machines. You will also empty, dispose and replace clinical and domestic waste areas. 

What you'll need to do the role

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about patient care and working within a healthcare environment. Not only will you be making sure the hospital is clean, you will be interacting with patients on a daily basis, so good communication is also important!
