Here at Serco we are looking for a skilled Education Administrator to join our Education department at HMP Dovegate a category B male establishment prison based on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border near Uttoxeter. The operational capacity is for 1100 prisoners and it takes a whole team of people to keep the facility safe, secure and in proper working order.
As an Education Administrator you will in line with the role:
You will be responsible for setting up profiles for new learners, registering course timetables, assigning learners to appropriate courses, inputting data from SEN, IAG and the Learning Progress Coordinator, running a variety of reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, and occasionally invigilating examinations.
As the needs of the College change so the job profile, duties and location of the role within the College will be adjusted accordingly.
This role involves prisoner contact.
What you need to do the job:
This role will be ideal for someone who has proven Admin experience. As a minimum we are looking for the postholder to have an ECDL/Computer Qualifications at Level 2. Furthermore, they must have a Grade C, Level 2 equivalent or above in Maths and English.
They must have demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Th successful post holder must have the ability to work as a team member, proficient with Microsoft office with excellent data entry and communication skills.
Finally having some experience of a custodial environment would be an advantage.
