About the Role

Our Operations Business Unit is all about building and maintaining a support service for the Serco Business that fosters high performance, growth, sustainability and appropriate governance. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Compliance and Onboarding, your new role will be essential in driving the best possible employee experience, risk management, quality, and governance across the Serco business.


As Employee Compliance Lead you will develop and establish a new function that creates a standarised platform for the employee lifecycle within the AsPac business. This position will have autonomy and freedom to build something not done before, collectively providing the Compliance and Onboarding team the ability to gain efficiencies for the business through effective processes and systems. The Lead will provide leadership to the team which will develop and grow in line with the growth of the function. To make this a success you will engage with all parts of the business including Contract Managers, Executives, P&C leaders and other SME's in a collaborative manner to get the absolute best outcomes.

 

Responsible for all things 'post hire', the position will assume responsibility for not only employee related compliance including (but not limited to): the compliance database, 'in-employment' variation letters, our electronic personnel file systems, Organisational Management and off-boarding processes. Also responsible for the management of the AHSC Contract Compliance teams and the team within to ensure absolute employee compliance at all times, this includes regular reporting, meeting input and continuous improvement processes to ensure we meet our service delivery targets.

You are an experienced professional, passionate about service delivery and service excellence. You bring with you a high level of expertise in the field of People and Capability and have experience and knowledge of processes, systems and best practices related to position requirements.

 

Proven experience within a large, complex organisation working with multiple business units needs and contract deliverables will enable you to think strategically when taking on new business and analyse the need of the function as a whole. Variety will be what drives you as this position will require someone who can 'think on their feet', understand business objectives and make decisions that foster great outcomes.

 

With your collaborative leadership style, you will drive people and performance strategies that foster team engagement and a positive workplace culture in an onsite and virtual environment to ensure our people continue to deliver important services to the business.

 

Naturally, you interact and develop strong relationships at all levels. Your influential and engaging approach will allow you to work with a range of stakeholders and effectively resolve complex matters and support the delivery of a high performing team. Above all, your resilience and impeccable customer service skills allows you to act with poise in difficult situations.

  • Ability to analyse and critique procedures based on business strategic workforce planning needs.
