Job Title: Employer Engagement Manager - Restart
Location: Hybrid role based in Birmingham, West Bromwich, Coventry and 1 day a week in Wales.
Salary: £41,000 - £45,000
Our Employment, Skills and Enterprise business provides support to citizens, from supporting the unemployed into sustainable work, to upskilling those with low or no vocational skills, so they can progress in work.
We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit an Employer Engagement Manager to support our delivery in the West Central and Wales area.
The Employer Engagement Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Employer Engagement Coordinators and for developing and implementing the employer engagement strategy. The Employer Engagement Manager will be responsible for sourcing high volume employment opportunities that are sustainable, including vacancies and job focused work placements to meet customer needs and aspirations. The role will involve the development of existing key employer partnerships regionally to maintain a flow of employment opportunities aligned to customer aspiration and growth sectors.
The Employer Engagement Manager will work closely with operations team and supply chain network to identify aspirations and skills analysis to direct and align their focus on such opportunities as well feedback to the operations team and supply chain partners the growth sectors, so that customers can be upskilled and pipeline of candidates are developed.
What you'll need to do the role:
First and foremost you'll have previous experience and successful track record in commercial recruitment, sales, business development or employer engagement in a performance target driven environment. Ideally qualified to Level 4 or equivalent. You will have good knowledge of local labour market and growth sectors. You will have excellent communication skills at all levels, using a variety of communication methods (spoken, written, behaviour), along with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
You must also be willing to travel and you will be covering Birmingham, West Bromwich, Coventry as well as Wales where you need to travel 1 day a week.
