Working: The role is office/hybrid based with occasional travel to other company/customer's sites in the UK or abroad. Office site presence, anticipated 2-3 days onsite, depending on project needs.

The Project Management function leads a multi-disciplinary team in the execution of contracts and internal R&D projects through appropriate the application of planning, motivation, coordination, understanding and experience. The function is accountable for the performance (to time, quality, cost, and profitability) of projects and manages project elements including schedule, resources, opportunities, and risks.
Reporting directly to the Director for the business Segment, the successful candidate will have demonstrable skills in leading successful development projects, applying their technical / professional knowledge to overcome challenges, and making independent judgements based on practice and significant previous experience to support effective decision making. They will have the acumen and ability to lead projects focused on the development of new products and solutions to a pre-production, but acquirable, level of maturity.
This role is ideally suited for someone who aspires to a role as a P&L centre leader, and will deputise for the Segment Director as occasions arise. As a senior team member , you will act as a referral point within the business segment for other team members, and act as a mentor for less experienced staff.
