Fixed 8 week pattern working 0700 - 1900 or 1900 - 0700 
£36,000 - £39,000 per annum (shift allowance inclusive)

 

Here at Serco, we're looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join us at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. The Engineering Team Lead will supervise the activities of the Shift Maintenance team and plan, cost, oversee, and implement the maintenance service to the site. You will also schedule daily work activity to the team.
 

As the Engineering Team Lead, you will develop close working relationships with FM and Trust managers and assist in development and training of staff. You must ensure daily workload is efficiently allocated to ensure maximum productivity from available resources and contribute to developing new systems of work.


Main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Effectively supervise the activities of the maintenance team.
  • Assist in the development and training of the staff team.
  • Plan, cost, oversee and implement the maintenance services to the site.
  • Ensure that the Estates Service is being delivered in full compliance of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
  • Develop and amend PPM activity to ensure satisfactory maintenance standards.
  • Supervising maintenance, minor new works, and adaptations.
  • Supporting the stores in the purchasing of bespoke materials and stock.
  • Requirement to partake in the on-call shift rota.


What you'll need to do the role:

  • Recognised CITB qualification or a demonstrated equivalent (minimum NVQ level 3)
  • ONC in Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds Craft Certificate relevant to trade or similar recognised trade certificate
  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations     
  • Supervisory skills training
  • Health & Safety qualification
  • HNC in electrical/mechanical engineering or a similar qualification
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to influence and supervise a team.
